Composer of the Half Term 2 - Maurice Ravel

                          "Keeping Music Alive at Lakeside"

This half-term, our children will be enjoying the music of Maurice Ravel. His piece of music called "Bolero" was made famous when Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean skated to victory in the Winter Olympics in 1984, dancing to "Bolero." 

This piece follows "Mars" - both of which are pieces of music that are  recommended in the new Model Music Curriculum for children across the country to become familiar with and to enjoy.  We hope you enjoy it too!
