Composer of the Half-Term BEETHOVEN

We hope you enjoyed the music of George Gershwin last half-term. The children thoroughly enjoyed listening to Gershwin's "Rhapsody In Blue" in assembly and in class.

This half-term, we are looking forward to finding out about the composer, Ludwig Van Beethoven. His life-story is remarkable, including becoming deaf when he was a young man. Despite such disability, he was able to compose sensational music, including the piece we are listening to this half-term, "The Fifth Symphony." 

Once more, our composer is recommended in the Model Music Curriculum and the video is from the wonderful resource, TEN PIECES, available on the BBC.
