World Book Week

We've had a fantastic World Book Week at Lakeside beginning with a mass KS2 Readathon on Monday and ending today with our celebration dress up assembly, the announcement of our 'Design a Paper Plate Story Character' competition and cross key-stage reading buddies.  In between, we have taken part in an online Drawalong with local author and artist, Phil Sheppard, shared our favourite stories with the other Trust schools, taken part in book tasters and created a wide range of beautiful artwork across the whole school based around the inspirational picture book 'The Dot' by Peter H Reynolds .  Have a look at the photographs on our social media.  Thankyou to parents for your support this week and the amazing array of costumes and competition entries we have seen today - your creativity never ceases to amaze us!  Don't forget to use your WBD vouchers at participating retailers and...keep reading!
