Heart Dissection Year 6

As part of the introduction to our Blood Heart topic we took the opportunity to dissect lamb hearts.
We believe that giving pupils the chance to see a real heart and explore how it works was a great chance to make links between what we've read and what a heart really looks like.
The biggest suprise for many of our pupils was that heartstrings are crucial to how a heart functions!
